Job Description | Under the supervision of the Manager, edit and design original web content, research, write and edit articles and other content; and create aesthetically pleasing content and rich web publications using photographic images, animations and streaming video.
Follow the manager’s instruction on reviewing all web content at multiple stages of development for conformance to standards for information and architecture, editorial style and visual design; research competitor and industry information to evaluate existing promotional themes and campaigns; evaluate various web formats to determine the most effective method for displaying the desired information, as well as meeting particular promotional objectives; and develop themes to target the desired audience. Work with web design developers and programmers to define needs and manage delivery of design deliverables; work to assure existing standards remain at the forefront of all content development projects, and seek opportunities to add value, particularly in the realm of usability, navigation, interactivity and sheer eye opening impact; continually review web content for freshness and appropriateness and edit content as appropriate or work with internal stakeholders to coordinate updates; review functional projects such as goals, methodology and prototypes; and drive the further development and proselytizing of information architecture, content, editorial style and visual design guidelines, infusing all co workers with and committing them to a sense of enthusiasm for quality. Upon Manager’s Instructions and recommendations, execute changes in website content and themes; communicate with internal and external clients to address concerns regarding the content, layout or effectiveness of the websites, and then use this feedback to make recommendations to management for improvements and changes to the websites; and edit and redesign website content, where necessary, to accomplish the desired themes. |
